The Online RFP Machine training course focuses on the fundamental mechanics of  The RFP Machine   and is intended for professionals who will be responsible for building, utilizing and maintaining a Pragmatech knowledge base.  The training is provided in demo format.  The course is taught through 5-sessions, over 5-consecutive days, with each session lasting approximately 3-hours.  

Through five online sessions, the Online RFP Machine incorporates three modules components: 

•  Knowledge Base Fundamentals 
•  Advanced Content Management 
•  Replying to an RFP    

In the Knowledge Base Fundamentals course module, you learn how to build and navigate a Pragmatech knowledge base. You learn about Word styles, style templates, and general document preparation to build and maintain your Pragmatech knowledge base. Creating knowledge base records and best practices in assigning record data and with how to efficiently navigate a knowledge base are taught. 

The Advanced Content Management module teaches you how to use the Query function, create custom reports, use the content maintenance methods, and administrative utilities.  This course also addresses the post RFP response processing tasks including the how to update of your Pragmatech knowledge base with RFP response content. 

In the Replying to an RFP module, you learn how to use effectively respond to RFPs using a Pragmatech knowledge base.  Learn how collaboration features improve your productivity and improve the quality of your proposal.  See how the Finishing Steps can help you deliver a polished proposal.  

How to Prepare 

This is a demo style, instructor-led class delivered online. You will need the following: 

• Computer with Internet Access (T1/T3, DSL/Cable, or 56kbps or faster connection)
• Ability to connect to join a meeting at the GoToMeeting website
• Telephone
• Printed workbook (which will be sent by email upon receipt of registration)

Session 3: Advanced Content Management I

• Content maintenance distribution / import
• Update Current Content (Quick Build)
 

Session 4: Advanced Content Management II 

• Creating a custom report
• Content maintenance methods
• Exporting / importing knowledge base records
• Learn mode
• Administrative utilities
 

Session 5: Replying to an RFP 

• Reply mode set up options
• Collaboration configuration
• Replying to an RFP
• Post processing of an RFP
• RFP/proposal management tools
