inciteKnowledge Technology
inciteKnowledge, delivered in the software as a service (SaaS) model, provides sales people, proposal professionals, and others with access to document and presentation creation capabilities anywhere an Internet connection is available.
No software is required on Express end-users' desktops and the infrastructure is housed at a secure data center, so there is no impact on IT staff to support the solution. As a result, inciteKnowledge is a cost-effective solution for improving sales performance through the automation of critical selling documents.
Business Advantages
The business advantages associated with the Web-based inciteKnowledge include:
- Provide sales people and other end-users access to your sales knowledge base from virtually anywhere in the world, at anytime, via simple Internet connections
- End-user can begin using the tool quickly, with minimal on-line training. The Express module includes familiar, web-based navigation and organizational structures, and controls. If users are comfortable searching for information on the internet, they will easily adapt to inciteKnowledge
- Accelerate time-to-value through more rapid implementations and low-impact expansions
- Easily scales to meet evolving business requirements – allowing organizations to extend access to its sales-ready content to other sales and marketing team members beyond the initial scope with minimal, if any, technical assistance from IT
- Dramatically simplify the IS evaluation process, infrastructure burden, and resource demands of implementing a sales effectiveness solution
- Lower total cost of ownership. A SaaS approach is financially attractive, as it shifts the investment from a capital cost to an expense, and lowers the up-front costs
Technology Highlights
The technology advantages associated with the Web-based inciteKnowledge include:
- All content is created and managed by designated content managers in your company using a locally installed software client, Knowledge Manager, which is integrated with Microsoft XP, 2003, or 2007
- No software is installed for sales people and other Express users. They simply access the system via an Internet Explorer browser from anywhere they have Internet access, and from any PC
- Content is housed at a SAS70 Type II data center. The facility is online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has full backup and redundancy systems
- All customers access their instance of inciteKnowledge over the Web via HTTPS connections and redundant firewalls. All users must authenticate to the system using their user ID and password
- While the solution provides for full backup and redundancy, clients can download some or all of the knowledge base content using a bulk export
